Hello, my name is Stephanie Whaley and Whaley Ranch has been a dream of mine and my husband’s for many years. I have had a love for horses since I was a little girl.
Mental health and horses are two of my passions. I have seen how horses can help calm someone dealing with bad anxiety and seen horses help build self confidence and bring joy to someone battling depression.
I have been blessed to run a Peer Helper group with local homeschoolers. We teach basic peer counseling skills. Between working with these students and other past experiences (including working with special needs adults) I thought what a better thing to do then bring horses and youth together to educate and help build self confidence.
My husband and I adopted our youngest child. Through that experience we have seen the need for both equine assisted learning and therapeutic riding. As of right now we have equine assisted learning up and running. Our goal is one day to offer therapeutic riding as well.
